This session introduces OpenDS, an open source community project building a free and comprehensive next generation directory service. In particular, OpenDS is designed to address large deployments, provide high performance, and be easy to extend, deploy, manage, and monitor. Attendees interested in using or contributing to OpenDS will gain a clear understanding of the real-world problems solved by the project, the overall architecture, and how to get involved in this active and growing community.
