I hear that... a couple of guys I work with were talking about that right when the article went up. One of the guys on my team was actually surprised when the icon disapeared!
Basically, the icon goes away when the application is maximized because you can resize a maximized window. Specifically, the functionaliyu I was referring to when I mentioned I skipped over the resizing logic is that when you hover over the icon on a native app, the mouse cursor turns to a resize cursor and you can resize the app without having to go the extra pixels to the border itself.
I agree its worth getting into the nitty gritty there, but I only have so many words I can fit in an article! Thanks for pointing it out. |
