Now that you are on the inside, perhaps you can get a fundamental WebStart question answered for me:
Applets can be either archived, or unarchived: Why must WebStart apps always be archived?
I can see no good reason for this 'requirement'. Archiving large rapidly changing apps is not always a practical option. Yet archiving seems to be the only way to have the option for simultaneous operation as both Applet, and via WebStart.
This currently gives Applets a very practical, significant, technical edge, over WebStart.
