Today with XML serializaton and XML Binding as part of Java SE, it would be much easier than in 1.1 times. Yet no word on that from the JCP :-( While Sun / JCP hangs, JavaGnome guys provide integration with Gnome Glade and native look and performance for Linux users (actually for Gtk / Gnome users whatever the platform) Adding to that the swing troubles with international keyboards, font rendering, and cut-and-paste, JavaGnome becomes a very interesting alternative if you target Linux and Unix desktops
