My initial reaction to JAAX was "great, another way to do Swing layotu in XML." See, I never found Swing to be that difficult to layout. The difficulty is in tying the UI to the application logic, and making sure the proper things happen on/off the EDT.
Now, as I read mroe about JAAX, I think the data binding and style sheets make it better than typical "layout Swing with XML", but its still not a silver bullet for tying the UI to the application (and I don't think there ever will be). |
