It's not that I disagree with making apps work more natively, however with Java's wonderful cross-platform capabilites it might be worth thinking about going in the other direction. In an application that I am developing for my company we are actively trying to pull what we see as the best features from different platforms and make the applications work the same (as much as possible) across all platforms. This is right for us as we know that it will propbably be used on different platforms in the same organisation. This also assists in branding and help file creation. Anyway, just something to think about.
