Sorry if my article tried to imply that this is a new thing (I hope it hasn't). Even thought XPP3 was there, StAX standardize the pull parsing making people to have different implementations and users to select whatever impl they want.
At the same time, there are a lot of people out there who are still using SAX and DOM, complaining for perfomance and memory, without knowing anything about StAX. I hope this article might help them also to understand quickly what this StAX is all about. |
