Make the expert committee discussions public. Provide access from day 1 to RI sources. The discussions shouldn't be limited to honchos from a few big corporates. Any end user must be able to participate in the discussions (without necessarily getting to vote). That is true community participation. This assumes greater significance in the light of the planned open sourcing of the VM and the compiler. All other JCP initiatives can wait. Matthias Ernst makes the point very well. |
