A blacksmith is a type of person. A smithy on the other hand is a type of workshop. A blacksmith works in a smithy. I found myself constantly distracted by the use of "smithy" in the article where "smith" or "blacksmith" would have been more appropriate. It made me think that if the writer was getting something that basic wrong, what else was he misinterpreting ? |
