Great article, I am looking forward to your future installments. If you are a skilled blacksmith today, you are most likely doing very well financially. The smithy is no longer a player in the realm of day-to-day necessities, they are now creators of what is essentially art. In a sense, the smithy has been freed from the mundane and elevated to pursue whimsy. I am very lucky to have some friends who are geat blacksmiths. I am not sure how this can correlate with our profession... it's hard to image buying software based on who the author is.
