More powerful tools will certainly move the profession of programming more into the realm of understanding the requirements and expressing them ambigously than "reading and writing a programming language". This has already been happening for a while. There is nothing special about this... But I don't know if I buy the idea of AI obsoleting this skill, too. And if it will, I bet it will make bookkeepers obsolete before programmers.
