The article makes a good point, but it's too bad it's couched in pretentious postmodernist shite. In English, as in code, expressing something simply and elegantly is the highest virtue. No need to trot out every GRE buzzword and highly amusing obscurity.
Remember, if java is to Cobol what Dot Net is to the Rosicrucians as the Linux kernel is to the seminal writings of Shlomoe Von Langenstein, well... you do know what I mean, don't you?
