Although at this point of the game I am not interested in any substantial changes to Java in JavaSE7, rather than forcing these (potentially) bright minds to fix bugs I'd like to divert their attentions onto tools.
Yes, tools that real-life programmers use in every day's life. If you can implement the anonymous inner class aspect of closure as a BeanInfo-editor-type plugin in IDEs, programmers who like to use it will benefit from it, those who don't think in that path of logic could stick to their old ways, and the Java Language would stay the same. |
