So maybe Java isn't that bad :-)
In the beginning I also thought that Java is to simlicistic until I realized that exactly this is its strength. I enables to write clear code that can be maintained and understood by other average programmers. Much less code review is needed when working in teams. I do not know wether this was intended by its inventors, but this is the main point of Java. Therefore I wish that they do not ruin Java by overloading the language. And call that even a progress. If you have a very smart day, write some Groovy code. It integrates seamless with your Java libs.
