We use IDE's to help us to handle all the tedious coding tasks. the IDE's today are unbeliveably powerful, and are a better solution to this problem.

A programmers productivity and therefore cost to develop code is far better when using an IDE than when not. This is because IDE's can and do a lot for the programmer. Therefore, these issues are moot because they are not REAL problems that most developers face. If you are adding this feature so you can code using notepad, then get an IDE! Eclipse and NetBeans are really very good.
