It's the only argument the closure proponents have left, after everything else has been shot down. "they're opposed to it because they're too stupid". It's exactly the same argument that European politicians use to push their vaunted "constitutional treaty" down out throats, we're supposedly too stupid to understand that signing over our national sovereignty to a bunch of unelected kleptocrats is "good for us".
There's no need for closures. If there was everyone'd be screaming for them (or more likely would never have embraced Java in the first place or long since abandoned it). It's just a plaything for some elitist academicians in their ivory towers that have no grasp on the real world. |
