Co-founder Bill Joy to Leave Sun

Sun Microsystems has announced that Bill Joy will be leaving the company. After 21 years at SUN, being its co-founder and chief scientist, he has decided it is time for "different challenges". Joy was also the designer of Berkley Unix and the author of a wildly controversial cautionary article about the perils of nanotechnology, robotics, and genetic engineering. There is no word yet on Joy's future plans.
