News: Sun Launches Upgrade From MSJVM SiteOct. 09, 2003 Source: java.sun.com Sun Microsystems has launched a site to help developers and end-users upgrade their MSJVMs to the latest JRE from Sun. The site is designed to assist users and developers upgrade their JVM and deal with any problems they might incur in running currently used programs and applets. Earlier this week Sun and Microsoft extended support for MSJVM to help developers make their transition from Microsoft's JVM. "... in the near future Microsoft will stop supporting the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM) and is continuing to phase it out of its products. Because Sun has signed agreements with many of the top hardware vendors to include the latest Java technology in their PCs, and given that millions of copies of the Sun JRE have been downloaded, the time is right to make the transition.
