XML made easy with XMLBeans When BEA has now open sourced their XML Beans technology and XML made easy with XMLBeans gives you a good first look. Laurence Moroney writes "The point of XMLBeans is to give you a toolkit that allows you to quickly build applications that can efficiently manipulate XML data." He provides a sample schema and then uses it to create and read data in XML documents.
The Atom API Mark Pilgrim writes about the Atom API " an up-and-coming format for editing, syndicating, and archiving weblogs and other episodic web sites." In The Atom API , Mark looks at the earlier efforts of LiveJournal, Blogger, and MetaWeblog and makes the case for the need for a new approach. In the second half of the article he outlines the features of the still evolving Atom and points to resources and early implementations.
